Gururbrahmā gururviṣṇuḥ gururdevo maheśvaraḥ | Guruḥ sākṣāt paraṃ brahma tasmai śrī-gurave namaḥ ||

The Guru is Brahmā, the Guru is Viṣṇu, the Guru is the divine Maheśvara. The Guru is verily the Supreme Brahman — to that revered Guru, my salutations.
